Sustainability

Tuxton China Inc. has long identified sustainability as one of the company’s top priorities. Our sustainability vision involves being an active part of the solution to restore the global ecosystem and reduce Tuxton’s impact on the local environment.

Energy Awareness

Tuxton’s goal is to reduce overall energy use through operational changes, such as participating in Southern California Edison’s Demand Response Program by reducing electricity usage during periods of peak demand.

Alternative Energy

The solar array on the rooftop of our corporate headquarters in Walnut, CA is connected directly to the facility’s internal electric system. This is another major step forward in integrating our sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing our carbon footprint and investing in the future of our company.

Production

One of our corporate objectives is to deliver high-quality products that are manufactured with efficient energy usage, controlled emissions, and minimal waste. One of the sustainability initiatives is to eliminate waste in the production process, which is made possible by recycling discarded materials while making sure the products meet our stringent technical criteria.

3R Program: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
• Natural Ventilation and Daylight System
• Water Recycling System
• Dust Treatment System
• Recycling of Discarded Ceramic, Clay and Plaster
• Capture of Kiln’s Residual Heat
• Energy Source: Natural Gas
• Green Space

Energy-Saving Technology

Another way that Tuxton reduces the amount of energy usage is by utilizing the latest energy-saving solutions on company desktops, laptops, and office equipment. Older and less efficient computers are replaced with newer, more energy-efficient units.

Paperless Initiative

As far back as 2002, Tuxton implemented a print-less initiative to reduce printing.

Come join us on our quest to create a new industry benchmark for environmental responsibility and sustainability.
